Three people, including husband and wife, were killed in a collision between a bus and a motorcycle in Puthia, Rajshahi. The accident occurred in the Shibpur area of the upazila on Saturday (December 21) afternoon. The deceased were Abu Hanif (25), his wife Fatema Khatun (20), and Yuthi Khatun (14). Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Paba Highway Police Station Mozammel Haque Kazi informed that Abu Hanif was heading towards Natore on a motorcycle with his wife and sister-in-law at noon. When they reached Shibpur on the way, a bus hit their motorcycle. Abu Hanif and his sister-in-law Yuthi died on the spot. The injured Fatema was rescued and taken to the hospital, where she died. A case will be filed in this incident.

রাজশাহীর পুঠিয়ায় বাস ও মোটরসাইকেলের মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষে স্বামী-স্ত্রীসহ তিনজন নিহত হয়েছেন। নিহতরা হলেন, আবু হানিফ (২৫), তার স্ত্রী ফাতেমা খাতুন (২০) ও শ্যালিকা যুথি খাতুন (১৪)। শনিবার (২১ ডিসেম্বর) বিকেলে উপজেলার শিবপুর এলাকায় এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। পবা হাইওয়ে থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মোজাম্মেল হক কাজী জানান, দুপুরে আবু হানিফ তার স্ত্রী ও শ্যালিকাকে নিয়ে মোটরসাইকেলে করে নাটোরের দিকে যাচ্ছিলেন। পথে বাসটি তাদের মোটরসাইকেলকে চাপা দেয়। এতে ঘটনাস্থলেই আবু হানিফ ও তার শ্যালিকা যুথি মারা যান। আহত ফাতেমাকে উদ্ধার করে হাসপাতালে নেয়া হলে সেখানে তারও মৃত্যু হয়। এ ঘটনায় মামলা হবে।
