CA visits two sites of under-construction Airport in Cox's Bazar

Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus visited two sites of the under-construction international airport in Cox's Bazar on Friday (March 14).

Earlier, the Chief Adviser arrived in Cox's Bazar on a commercial flight from Bangladesh Airlines.

During the visit, the Chief Adviser was updated on the progress of the construction and the latest developments. The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) also provided a project summary.

CAAB informed the Chief Adviser that 95% of the airport's construction is complete, with the remaining work expected to be finished by December this year.

They further stated that once the airport becomes operational, it will handle 40 to 50 aircraft takeoffs and landings daily.

During his visit to Cox's Bazar, the Chief Adviser is also expected to tour the Khurushkul Climate Refugee Center. Following that, he will travel by road to the Rohingya refugee camp in Ukhiya with the UN Secretary-General, where they will join the refugees for Iftar.
