CA Yunus reaches Bangkok
Chief Adviser to the interim government Dr. Muhammad Yunus has reached Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to attend the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) summit.
He arrived in Bangkok on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at around 12:15 pm on Thursday (April 3). Earlier, the Chief Adviser left Dhaka with his entourage on that flight at around 9 am.
The Chief Adviser will address the BIMSTEC Youth Generation Forum conference in Bangkok at 3 pm local time on Thursday. In addition, Dr. Yunus will attend the BIMSTEC summit tomorrow (April 4).
During this visit, the Chief Adviser will hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of BIMSTEC member states, including India. The head of government will also be present at the signing ceremony of two memorandums of understanding during the summit.
Ending all speculation, a bilateral meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Adviser to the interim government of Bangladesh, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, is being held. The two leaders will hold a private meeting on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC summit in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday (April 4). The meeting is scheduled to take place at 3:45 pm Bangkok time.
