Case filed over raping six-year-old twins in Noakhali

A case has been filed at Kabirhat Police Station in Noakhali regarding the alleged rape of six-year-old twin sisters.

The victims' mother filed the case on Thursday (April 3), under the Child Abuse Prevention Act, confirmed Md Shahin Mia, officer-in-charge (OC) of According to Kabirhat Police Station.

The accused, Md Farid, 16, is the son of Md Didar Mia from Dhanshalik Union in Kabirhat Upazila.

According to case details, On March 25, while the two sisters were playing near their home, Farid allegedly took the elder sister to an abandoned tin shed and raped her. The younger sister, upon hearing the screams, informed their mother, who immediately rescued the elder daughter.

Upon questioning, the younger one revealed that Farid had also raped her on March 23, causing her physical harm.

"Farid was arrested on March 30 under Section 54 and sent to jail. He will now face additional charges under the Women and Children Abuse Prevention Act in connection with the newly filed case," the OC said.
