Cases filed to suppress movement to be withdrawn within 3 days: Asif Nazrul
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul has said the false and harassing cases filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act and the Cyber Security Act will promptly be withdrawn.
Asif Nazrul came up with the announcement after holding a meeting with the ministry official on Saturday (August 10).
A total of five decisions were made at the meeting.
1. Steps will be taken to bring those involved in the killings that occurred to suppress the student movements in July-August swiftly to justice.
2. Necessary measures will be taken to withdraw the criminal cases filed to suppress the student movements between 1 July and 5 August, 2024, within the next three working days.
3. Steps will be taken to release the children and adolescents detained under false and harassing cases within the next three working days.
4. Steps will be taken to withdraw the false and harassing cases filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act and the Cyber Security Act.
5. Victim support for false and harassing cases under the Law and Justice Department's number 16430 will be ensured.
