cautionary signal 3 issued at maritime ports
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has said that moderate to heavy rains are likely to occur across the country for the next 5 days. Landslide warning has been issued in hilly areas. Besides, four maritime ports have been advised to hoist local cautionary single number three.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours beginning from 9am on Saturday (June 29).
All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
Day temperature may fall by (1-2)°C and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
