During US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's farewell press conference, chaos erupted as journalists heavily criticized him. He was questioned about his support for Israel, which has been conducting indiscriminate attacks in Gaza, resulting in numerous casualties. The exchange became intense, leading security to forcibly remove two journalists from the room.

The press conference was held on Thursday at the US State Department in Washington. Blinken was discussing his diplomatic efforts concerning the ongoing Gaza conflict, which has lasted for 15 months. Throughout the event, journalists posed pointed and aggressive questions.

Journalist Sam Husseini shouted, "Criminal! Why aren’t you at The Hague?" alluding to the International Criminal Court. Husseini is known for his criticism of US foreign policy.

Security quickly escorted Husseini out of the room, even as he continued shouting questions at Blinken. Since October 7, 2023, violence in Gaza has resulted in over 46,000 deaths due to Israeli attacks, and Blinken has faced criticism for continuing US support for Israel during this period.

Another journalist, Max Blumenthal, also criticized Blinken, asking, "Why did you send bombs in May when a deal was made?" Blumenthal was also removed by security after continuing to question US foreign policy.

At the start of the press conference, Blinken remained calm and invited questions, but the situation quickly turned confrontational.
