State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said that every leader and activist of Chhatra League should take the responsibility of making the present generation non-communal, progressive and smart citizens.

He said, "Being a soldier of the ideals of the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and an ideal follower of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, every leader and activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League should take the responsibility of building the current generation as non-communal, progressive and smart citizens in building a smart Bangladesh by 2041."

He urged everyone to work unitedly to fulfill Bangabandhu's dream of Sonar Bangla and implement Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Smart Bangladesh vision.

The State Minister said this while delivering his speech as the chief guest at a exhibition and discussion meeting titled "From Bangabandhu to Sheikh Hasina" on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League and the historic 6-point day at the Dhaka District Awami League office building in Tejgaon on Tuesday.

Referring to the month of June as a very important month for the Bengali nation and the Bangladesh Awami League, Palak said, "It was in this month that the great architect of the independence of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, announced the historical 'six-point' charter of liberation of Bengalis. It was in this month of June 1949 that the people of Bengal Awami League, the oldest and traditional political party of Bangladesh, was founded to protect rights and democracy."

Palak said that Bangladesh Awami League has always stood by the people of Bangladesh in all crises and struggles during this 75 years of glorious journey. Bangladesh has achieved everything from its mother tongue and independence to today's economic liberation under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh Awami League.

He said, "Bangabandhu said that political freedom is successful only when a country achieves economic freedom. Political freedom and economic freedom are sustainable only when a cultural revolution succeeds."

Referring to Bangabandhu who gave Bangladeshis freedom for the political emancipation and laid the foundation for economic emancipation, he said, "The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced the concept of Smart Bangladesh after the construction of Digital Bangladesh with the aim of completing the unfinished work of Bangabandhu and making our economic emancipation and cultural revolution a success."
