Chief Adviser to hold meeting with BNP leaders this afternoon

Dr Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, is scheduled to meet with senior BNP leaders on Monday afternoon.

According to party media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan, BNP standing committee members, led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, will attend the meeting at the Chief Adviser’s residence at 4:00 pm.

He said Dr Yunus invited the BNP leaders for the meeting.

This will be the first formal meeting between the head of the interim government and BNP leaders since its formation on August 8.

Following former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation and subsequent flight from the country amid a student-led mass movement, an interim government was established under Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus.
