Cyclone Remal claims 16 lives: NDRCC
A total of 16 people died in seven coastal districts of the country due to Cyclone Remal.
The fatalities included one person each in Khulna, Satkhira, and Chittagong; three in Barisal; three in Patuakhali; four in Pirojpur; and three in Bhola, reported the National Disaster Response Coordination Center (NDRCC).

According to the NDRCC, Cyclone Remal affected 4,599,464 people across 19 districts in the country. Of these, 11 lakh are from Gopalganj, and 9 lakh are from Pirojpur.
Additionally, 40,338 houses were completely destroyed, and another 1,33,528 houses were partially damaged.
The 19 districts affected by Remal are--Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Jhalakathi, Barishal, Patuakhali, Pirojpur, Barguna, Bhola, Feni, Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Chandpur, Narail, Gopalganj, Jashore, and Shariatpur.
