Dhaka witnesses further drop in temperature
The minimum temperature in Dhaka has further dropped by another 1 degree Celsius. This Tuesday morning (January 23), the minimum temperature in Dhaka was 11.1 degrees Celsius. This marks the lowest minimum temperature in Dhaka during the current season. Previously, on Monday morning, the minimum temperature in Dhaka was 12.1 degrees Celsius.
However, atmospheric pressure in Dhaka has decreased. Since Tuesday morning, the sky over Dhaka has remained clear. The weather forecast for Dhaka and surrounding areas for the next 6 hours from 7 a.m. indicates the possibility of temporary partial cloud cover. The weather may remain dry, with occasional light to moderate mist during this time.
During this winter season, the entire country is experiencing intense cold. The capital city is also feeling the effects of severe winter.
On the other hand, the weather forecast until 6 pm on Tuesday indicates, through a preliminary outlook, that there may be temporary partial cloud cover with dry weather in the entire country. From midnight to morning, there is a possibility of scattered clouds in the sky, and it may be mostly cloudy to dense fog at some places until noon. Dense fog can persist in some areas, causing disruptions in air travel, inland water transport, and road communication.
Mild to moderate cold wave is flowing over Jashore, Kushtia, Chuadanga, Tangail, Madaripur, Kishoreganj, Rangpur, and Rajshahi divisions. Additionally, a mild to moderate cold wave may spread as a mild cold wave from some places to others in the districts of Jashore, Kushtia, Chuadanga, Tangail, Madaripur, and Kishoreganj, as per the preliminary forecast.।
