Disabled laundry-worker found dead at Natore crematorium temple
The body of Kumar Das, a physically challenged laundry-worker, was found with his hands and feet tied at the Kashimpur Central crematorium temple in Natore city.
Kumar Das had been residing at the temple for about four years, according to Subal Das, the president of the temple committee.
He said, 'On Saturday morning, Dulal Chandra Pramanik, the guard of the crematorium, went to the temple and informed the theft as well as the discovery of the cleaner's body. The police and army personnel arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the information.'
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Mahabur Rahman said, 'The thief cut through the temple grill and stole several bronze utensils. It is suspected that the cleaner was killed after being seen.'
'Investigation on the incident is underway. The perpetrators will be arrested soon,' he added.
