Discussion, poetry recitation held at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro
A discussion and poetry recitation was held at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro in Dhaka on the occasion of the Victory Day.
The programme titled 'Muktir Gan Bijoyer Kobita' was held at 3pm on Friday (December 20).
Poet Sayeda Aziz Chowdhury presided over the first session of this programme organized by the Bengali Cultural Center while Bangla Academy Award-winning poet Nasir Ahmed graced it as the chief guest.
Children's fiction writer Rahim Shah and essayist Sarkar Abdul Mannan were present as special guests.
Poet Arif Nazrul, president of the Bengali Cultural Center, delivered the welcome speech.
Fiction writer Ishaq Khan was present as the chief guest in the second session. Children's fiction writer Ahmed Jasim and poet Russell Asheki were present as special guests. Liberation War researcher Ziaul Haque discussed this part.
Poet and lyricist Sumon Sardar, poet Imran Parash, poet Mahmuda Khanam, poet Shamima Sultana, poet Shipra Parveen, poet Farhana Rahman Mishti, poet Girish Goirik, reciter Jasmine Bannya, poet Biman Bihari Biswas, poet Sajjad Ahmed Saju, poet Khaled Rahi, poet Sultan Mahmud, Saidur Rahman Liton, Sudipto Mizan, Swapan Majhi, poet Elora Soma, poet Fara Diba, poet Bappi Saha, poet Lutfar Chowdhury, poet Faiz Ibne Zafar, poet Nil Hasan, poet Nilufar Yasmin Nancy, poet Kamal Bari, Monirul Islam, and others participated in the poetry recitation session.
This event, inspired by the spirit of victory, created enthusiasm and excitement among poets, literary figures, and culture-minded people.
