DMP issues traffic guidelines for Dec 14
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued traffic guidelines for residents on the Martyred Intellectuals Day.
A DMP announcement said that on that day, a wide range of persons, including the president, prime minister, speaker of the Parliament, chief justice, cabinet members, lawmakers, foreign ambassadors, and high government officials, will visit the Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals Memorial.
All sorts of vehicles including buses, trucks, human haulers, three wheelers, rickshaw vans have been asked to use alternative routes avoiding Mirpur Mazar Road area (from Mazar Road crossing to Mirpur 1 crossing) between 4am and 9:30am on Thursday.
Mirpur-bound vehicles from Ashulia via Beribadh will have to use Shah Ali Thana Road by turning left from Nababer Bagh crossing.
Modes of transportation that cross the adjoining areas of Shah Ali shrine via Mazar road will need to use Darussalam Road from Technical Intersection.
Vehicles plying Gabtoli from Mirpur 10, via Mazar road, have been asked to use Darussalam road via Technical crossing after turning left from Mirpur 1.
