Addressing neighboring country India, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, ‘You should remain in peace and let us remain in peace. We don’t want to know what is happening in your kitchen so don’t peek into our kitchen.’

A workers’ conference of Jamaat-e-Islami was held at Moulvibazar Government High School ground from Saturday morning to noon. The Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer said these things in the speech of the chief guest at that time.

Addressing India, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer said, ‘You talk to us about communal harmony, look at your face in the mirror. How do you treat those whom you call minorities? Don’t come to give us a glimpse of communal harmony. This country has been a country of communal harmony for ages, the people of this country have proven it.’

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, there is no such thing as majority-minority in this country. Everyone is a proud citizen of this country. He urged the leaders and workers at the conference to work together to build the future of Bangladesh.

Since morning, processions from different upazilas have been arriving, and the conference venue has been crowded with people. The organizers claim that 30,000 people have joined the conference.

It is worth noting that in the 53 years of independence, no such conference has been held in Moulvibazar with the participation of thousands of workers and supporters in an open space. For the first time, the Jamaat workers' conference was held in an open field.
