‘Dream Actress’ Shabnur turns 45 today
Today is the birthday of Shabnur, who is also known as ‘Dream Actress’ in the Dhaka film industry. She got the title of ‘Dream Actress’ by acting with Salman Shah in the movie ‘Tumi Amar’ directed by Zahirul Haque. Her real name is Kazi Sharmin Nahid Nupur.
Born on 17 December 1979 at Navaran in Sharsha Upazila of Jashore district, Shabnur made her film debut with the film ‘Chandni Rate’ by the hands of the late legendary film director Ehtesham where Sabbir plays opposite her.
Shabnur then joined Salman Shah in Zahirul Haque’s film ‘Tumi Amar’. After then the heroine did not have to look back. The Dhallywood’s ‘Dream Actress’ gave one after one hit film.
Shabnur has acted in 14 films with Salman Shah. Their pair is one of the most successful pairs in Dhaka film. Most of their films are well received by the audience. After the death of Salman Shah, Shabnur has appeared on screen with actors - Riaz, Ferdous, Manna and Shakib Khan.
She hitched with businessman Anik Mahmud Hridoy on 28 December 2012, however, they parted ways on 26 January this year as they did not get along. They have a son named Aijan Nehan, Shabnur is currently living in Australia with her son.
In her long career, Shabnur has acted in more than 150 films.
