DSHE asks to stop coaching centres in guise of special classes
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has issued a directive asking to stop coaching centres in the name of “special classes”.
The notice issued on Monday asked the persons concerned to stop such coaching centres without proper implementation of the new curriculum in secondary-level educational institutions.
The notice stated that coaching centres are being run in the name of “special class” in the secondary level educational institutions and students are being forced to attend coaching classes.
Besides, there are specific guidelines for new curriculum development and evaluation in some educational institutions, but it is being violated.
In the name of weekly or monthly assessment, traditional question papers are being prepared which is disrupting the implementation of the new curriculum, it added.
In such circumstances, all concerned are hereby requested to refrain from the said activities and to conduct the prescribed academic activities of the institution strictly following the instructions issued earlier in the proper implementation of the new curriculum.
In case of violation of these instructions, the head of the concerned institution will be held personally responsible.
