Easybike driver returns Tk4.5 lakh found in Jashore streett

Ismail Ali (58), an easybike driver, returned Tk 4,45,000 found on the street in Jashore's Monihar Chattar. The money was handed over to businessman Shahidul Islam through the mediation of Kotwali Model Police Station OC Mohammad Abdur Razzak and Ramnagar Union Chairman Mahmud Hasan around 2.00pm on Thursday (March 28).

Abdur Razzak, OC of Kotwali police station, said, "Shahidul Islam, a fruit trader in Jashore's Monihar Chatter, came out of his home with Tk 4,45,000 in a plastic bag. However, While riding motorcylce, Shahidul's moneybag fell on the road. Easybike driver Sheikh Ismail Ali, son of late Muslim Ali of Ramnagar area, got the bag of money. Meanwhile, Shahidul Islam filed a written complaint at Kotwali police station."

Ramnagar Union Parishad Chairman Mahmud Hasan said, "Easybike driver Ismail Ali found the bag of money on the street and brought it to me. We counted the money at the Union Parishad. It is seen that there are Tk4,45,000. I reported the incident to Kotwali police station OC Razzak. Later, the OC asked Easybike driver Ismail Ali and businessman Shahidul Islam to come to the police station. Shahidul returned the money in our presence. Businessman Shahidul Islam was very happy after getting that money back."

Expressing his feelings, Shahidul said, "The society still has honest and humane people." He rewarded the easybike driver with Tk 20,000 as a token of appreciation.
