HSC Exam
Education Board instructs to extend time if it rains
The candidates of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams that started on Sunday (June 30) had to face difficulties in reaching the centre due to rain in different parts of the country including Dhaka and Chattogram.
In this context, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka has instructed to extend the time if it rains on the day of HSC examination, said an emergency notification issued on Sunday by the board.
The notification said, “According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the next few days. If there is rain on the examination days, if necessary, the main gate of the centre should be opened before the specified time to allow the candidates to enter the centre.”
“If there is a delay of half an hour or an hour in starting the examination of any centre due to unavoidable reasons, the examination has to be completed by adjusting the time of half an hour or one hour considering the emergency situation,” it added.
