Eight more BGP members fled into Bangladesh
Eight more members of Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) have fled to Bangladesh amid clashes between the Myanmar military and the armed rebel group Arakan Army.
They entered Bangladesh through Hatimarajhiri Border on Friday, said Shariful Islam, BGB public relations officer (PRO).
He said Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized their weapons and took them into custody.
Besides, three more BGP members entred Bangladesh through Jimbongkhali Border. With them, 285 BGP members are currently under BGB custody, Shariful added.
