Students took the exam at Cumilla Victoria College after wading through knee-deep water. Almost all the buildings and entrances of the college were submerged in water. The National University's first-year honours admission test was held in such a dire situation on Saturday.

Many of the examinees entered the center after wading through knee-deep or waist-deep water. Many of their clothes got wet before they could enter the exam room. It was difficult to walk in mud again in some places.

It was seen on the spot that the ground floors of the college's Arts Building, Science Building, Millennium Building, and Economics Building were under knee-deep water. Teachers distributed answer sheets in this environment. As all three entrances were submerged in water, students and guardians were also in trouble.

Josna Rabbani Sneha, who came to take the exam, said: "I came to take the admission test with a dream, but it was very difficult to take the exam due to the waterlogging. I had to enter the center through knee deep water."

Abdul Hannan, a guardian from Chattogram, said: "I brought my daughter. She passed through knee deep water to enter the exam room. She fell ill after the exam."

In this regard, college principal Professor Md. Abul Bashar Bhuiyan said: "A master plan is being prepared to resolve the waterlogging. Effective steps will be taken soon."
