Explosion in Demra steel mill leaves seven burned

At least seven people suffered burns in an explosion that occurred at Zaheer Steel and Ruling Mill in the capital's Bansherpool area of Demra. A rescue operation was initiated to send the injured individuals to Dhaka Medical College Hospital immediately after the incident.

The incident took place around 9:30pm on Saturday (June 1).

The injured are identified as Tariqul Islam (32), Sujan (25), Aminul Islam (25), Roni (30), Kanchan (28), Deepan Das (30), and Shafiqul Islam (27).

Bachchu Mia, Inspector and in-charge of DMK Hospital Police Camp, said, "Four individuals with burn injuries are currently receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical, while the remaining three are undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina Burn Institute.
