Father, son injured in Gopalganj bomb blast

Md Subahan Masud (40) and his five-year-old son, Md Abdullah, sustained injuries in a bomb explosion at their residence in Gopalganj Sadar Upazila.

The incident took place around 9.00pm on Tuesday (April 23). Later, they were rescued and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 2:30 am.

Md. Ripon, the neighbor who brought them to the hospital, said, "Subahan Masud returned home from work as usual. While parking his motorcycle, a bomb suddenly exploded. Both Masud and his five-year-old son sustained burns on different parts of their bodies."

Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, confirmed the matter.

He said, "Yesterday night, both the child and his father were taken to the hospital from Gopalganj with burn injuries. Later, they received treatment in the emergency department. We have informed the relevant police station about the incident."
