Ferry services resume on Daulatdia-Paturia waterway after 3.5 hrs
After being closed for 3.5 hours due to dense fog, ferry services have resumed on the Daulatdia-Paturia waterway.
Ferry services resumed around 9:00 am on Friday (January 17) as the fog cleared, according to Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).
Earlier, ferry services was suspended on the Daulatdia-Paturia waterway from 5:30am to prevent accidents.
As a result, passengers and drivers had to endure severe cold during the delay.
Alim Dayan, assistant manager of Daulatdia Ghat Branch, said, "Ferry services resumed at 9:00 am on Friday as the fog cleared. Currently, 12 ferries, both large and small, are operating on the Daulatdia-Paturia waterway."
