Fire at Chattogram shoe factory under control
A fire that broke out at a shoe factory in Chattogram's Bayezid Textile area has been brought under control. The fire broke out at 4:20 pm on Friday (March 29). 8 units of fire service and civil defence worked to control the fire.
Bayezid Fire Station control room fire worker Shibli Sadiq said, "The fire originated on the second floor of the six-story building of the Korean-owned 'Rong the International' factory. Later the fire spread to different floors of the building. 8 units of Bayezid and Agrabad fire stations have put out the fire. However, no casualties have been reported so far."
Bayezid Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sanjay Kumar Sinha said, "There were no workers in the factory as it was a holiday. There were no casualties."
"The fire service team came quickly and worked to control the fire," he added.
