Fire at TK Group’s factory in Munshiganj

A terrible fire has erupted in the super board factory owned by TK Group in Jamaldi area under Hossaindi union at Gazaria upazila in Munshiganj.

Twelve units of fire service are working to control the fire after receiving the information.

The fire erupted around 1:30pm on Sunday (24), said Abdur Rahim, in-charge of the fire service's control room.

He said several fire fighters were injured in the Gazaria fire. At present, 12 units of fire service are working to control the fire.

Gazaria police station OC Rajib Khan told the media that the fire has not yet been fully controlled. The fire is still burning.

He also said, “We got the news of the fire in the factory around 1:30pm. Initially, two fire service units worked, but as the intensity of the fire increased, more fire service units came from Adamji in Narayanganj and Daudkandi in Cumilla. All are working to control the fire. When the fire will be doused, the origin of the fire will be known.”
