Food relief dispatched to Saint Martin amidst crisis

Foods are being transported to Saint Martin for the island's residents via the ship MV Baro Aulia.

The ongoing conflict in Myanmar's Rakhine has led to the suspension of the Teknaf-Saint Martin shipping route for a week. Consequently, around 10,000 residents of the island are facing a food crisis.

In response to the crisis, a ship named MV Baro Aulia departed from BIWTA Ghat at Nuniarchhar in Cox’s Bazar this afternoon (June 14), carrying food items for the island.

Cox’s Bazar Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Md Yeasin Hossain confirmed the matter.
