Former Indian prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh has passed away. He was 92. Singh was admitted to the emergency ward of Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at around 8 pm. The veteran Congress leader retired from the Rajya Sabha in April after 33-year-long stint in the Upper House. Dr Manmohan Singh served as prime minister of India from 2004 to 2014.

না ফেরার দেশে পাড়ি জমিয়েছেন ভারতের সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও দেশটির প্রধান বিরোধী দল কংগ্রেসের প্রবীণ নেতা মনমোহন সিং। মৃত্যুকালে তাঁর বয়স হয়েছিল ৯২ বছর। বৃহস্পতিবার স্থানীয় সময় রাত ৯টা ৫১ মিনিটে ভারতের রাজধানী নয়াদিল্লির অল ইন্ডিয়া ইনস্টিটিউট অব মেডিক্যাল সায়েন্সেসে (এআইআইএমএস) শেষ নিশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেছেন তিনি। শারীরিক অবস্থার আকস্মিক অবনতি হওয়ায় বৃহস্পতিবার স্থানীয় সময় রাত ৮টার দিকে তাকে হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হয়। চলতি বছরের শুরুর দিকে রাজ্যসভা থেকে অবসর নিয়েছিলেন দেশটির এই প্রবীণ রাজনীতিক।
