Four education boards get new chairman
The government has announced the appointment of new chairman for four education boards.
The boards include Jashore, Cumilla, Sylhet, and Dinajpur.
A notification issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Department under the Ministry of Education on Sunday (January 19), details the deputation of these BCS General Education cadre officers to their new roles.
Dr. Asma Begum, a political science professor at Government Titumir College in the capital, has been appointed as the Chairperson of Jashore Education Board; Md. Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, Vice-Principal and mathematics professor of Moulvibazar Government College, has been assigned to lead the Sylhet Education Board; Maha. Touhidul Islam, Principal and English professor of Chapainawabganj Government College, will serve as the Chairman of Dinajpur Education Board; Md. Shamsul Islam, previously Chairman of the Sylhet Education Board and a mathematics professor, has been appointed as the Chairman of Cumilla Education Board.
