Fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections begins
The fourth phase of voting for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections began today in 96 Lok Sabha constituencies across 10 states and Union Territories. Voting started at 7.00am on Monday and will continue till 7.00pm, reports Al Jazeera and NDTV.
Before this, voting was held in three phases on April 19, April 26 and May 7. It has decided the fate of 283 MPs.
The fourth phase of polling will take place in nine states and one union territory of India. The election is primarily a battle between the National Democratic Alliance, spearheaded by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the leadership of two-time Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance, led by the main opposition party, the Indian National Congress.
