Gold prices fall slightly

Gold prices fell slightly in the country’s market following record high rates. The price of the highest quality or 22 carat gold bar has been set to Tk 1,37,449 per bhori which has been decreased to Tk 1,259 from previous rate .

The information was gathered from a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Saturday (September 28).

The press release said that the price of gold has decreased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new gold price will be effective from Sunday (September 29).

According to the new price, the price of the best quality or 22 carat gold has been reduced to 1,37,449 per bhori. The price of 21 carat gold bar has been reduced to Tk 1,31,197 per bhori. Besides, the price 18 carat gold has been reduced to to 1 lakh 12 thousand 453 taka.
