Gold prices hit record high
The price of gold in the country's market has reached a record high with one bhori of good quality gold (22-carat) selling for Tk 1,15,824..
The price of gold has increased by Tk 1,750 per bhori.
The new gold rate will be effective across the country from tomorrow (April 7), says a Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus) press release sent to the media on Saturday (April 6).
According to the release, the price of Tezabi (pure) gold has increased in the local market, resulting in the readjustment of the price of golf by Bajus.
According to the new price, the price of one bhori of 21-carat gold has been increased to Tk 1,10,575.
In addition, the price of one bhori of 18 carat gold has been fixed at Tk 94,770 and the price of one bhori of traditional gold has been increased to Tk 78,965.
Silver prices have remained unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of one bhori of 22 carat silver is Tk 2,100.
The price of 21 carat silver per bhori is Tk 2,660 and the price of 18 carat silver is Tk 1,715. And the price of traditional gold Tk 1,283 has been fixed.
