Gold prices rise again
The price of gold in the country's market has increased again. The new price of gold has been fixed following a hike in the price of pure gold in the local market.
This decision was made at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Thursday (April 18), says a press release.
According to the release, the price of one bhori of good quality or 22-carat gold has been increased by Tk 2,065 to Tk 1,19,638, the highest so far in the country's market.
Apart from this, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been fixed at Tk 1,14,202, 18-carat at Tk 97,884 and the price of Sanatan method gold at Tk 78,801. The price of gold has changed but the price of silver has remained unchanged.
BAJUS has made this decision considering the overall situation along with the increase in the price of pure gold in the local market. The new prices will be implemented from 7:00pm today (Thursday).
Earlier on April 8, the price of one bhori of 22-carat gold was increased by Tk 1,750 to Tk 1,17,573.
