Govt sets deadline for Advisers' asset statement submission
The government has fixed a deadline for advisers to the interim government and individuals of equal status to submit their asset statements.
The Cabinet Department issued a gazette notification titled 'Policies for Disclosure of Income and Assets Statements of Interim Government Advisers and Persons of Equivalent Class, 2024' in this regard today (October 1).
According to the notification, advisers and their spouses are required to submit their income and assets statements to the Chief Adviser within 15 days of filing their income tax returns each year.
Additionally, if an adviser's spouse has separate income, their income and assets statement must also be submitted concurrently to the Chief Adviser.
The policy also states that the Chief Adviser will disclose these statements in an appropriate manner at his discretion.
