Govt to procure 8,000 tonnes lentils, 10,000 tonnes of sugar

The government has decided to buy 8,000 tonnes of lentils worth Tk 76.64 crore and 10,000 tonnes of sugar worth Tk 160 crore.

According to a decision made at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement on Wednesday (March 20), lentils will be purchased from Agrigo Trading Private Limited of Chennai, India at the rate of Tk 100.80 per kg.

The sugar will be purchased from Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industry Corporation at the rate of Tk 160 per kg.

The daily essentials are being purchased for the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB).
