The wait is finally coming to an end. If all goes as planned, Dewan Hamza Choudhury will set foot in Bangladesh at 12:45pm on Monday.

The star footballer will arrive at Sylhet Airport after flying in from England. From there, he will head to his ancestral home in Snanghat, Habiganj. Although the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has not organized any grand reception, several BFF officials will be present at Sylhet Airport to welcome Hamza. Meanwhile, BFF officials are already stationed in Shayestaganj, Habiganj.

After spending a day at his ancestral home in Snanghat, Hamza is scheduled to return to Dhaka. BAFF officials will accompany him on his journey from Habiganj. Meanwhile, Hamza's father, Dewan Golam Morshed Choudhury, is already at their ancestral home. Hamza will be accompanied by his wife and children. On March 16, Sheffield United has a match, and immediately after playing in it, Hamza will board a flight to Sylhet.

Midfielder Hamza, who plays in the English League, has been a topic of discussion in Bangladeshi football for quite some time. Currently, after leaving Leicester City, he is playing for Sheffield United in the Championship League. The Bangladesh national team has included him in the squad for the Asian Cup qualifiers. They are set to play against India on March 25 in Shillong. Hamza's arrival is precisely for this match. Although he has visited Bangladesh before, this time is unique as he is coming as a Bangladeshi footballer. Preparations are in full swing to welcome him.

Special emphasis is being placed on Hamza's security. The administration is taking stringent measures to ensure his safety. Habiganj District Police Superintendent A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman told this reporter over the phone, "We are in communication with Hamza's father, Dewan Golam Morshed. We will finalize the security arrangements after consulting with him. He is currently in Habiganj, and we are coordinating with him to strengthen the security measures."

After visiting his ancestral home in Habiganj and arriving in Dhaka, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will hold a formal press conference with Hamza. Additionally, he will participate in a photo session with the team. Hamza will also use the time in Dhaka to fine-tune his skills. Before that, there will be an introductory session with his teammates and coaching staff. There were rumours that Hamza would bring a personal physician with him, but the footballer has decided against it. Only his family members will accompany him on this trip.
