"Harry Potter" actor Simon Fisher-Becker dies

Renowned British actor Simon Fisher-Becker has died at the age of 63.

The news was confirmed by his agent, Kim Barry, who described him as a close friend and an extraordinary artist.

Fisher-Becker was known for his role as intergalactic trader Dorium Maldovar in "Doctor Who" and as the ghost Fat Friar in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," writes Dailymail.

He also appeared in many popular British series, such as “One Foot in the Grave”, “The Bill” and “Doctors”, as well as in the Oscar-winning film “Les Miserables” (2012).

His husband, Tony, also shared the sad news on Facebook, thanking fans for their support.

In addition to acting, Fisher-Becker was also a writer, speaker and a beloved figure in the "Doctor Who" community.
