Heat wave for 3 more days: Meteorological Department
An intense heat wave is flowing over Rajshahi, Pabna, and Tangail districts along with Khulna division. The mild to moderate heat wave blowing over Barishal division, some parts of Rajshahi division, Chandpur, Moulvibazar, and Dhaka district will continue for three more days, said the Meteorological Department.
According to a weather forecast of Meteorological Department on Friday (April 19) evening, for the next three days, there may be temporary rain/thunder with gusty winds in Cumilla, Kishoreganj region along with Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. There may be scattered rain of hail at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.
On April 20, two places in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions may experience temporary gusty winds with rain/thunder. Along with that, the weather may be dry and partly cloudy with rain.
On April 21, there may be rain/thunder with gusty winds temporarily at one or two places of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. There may also be hail and dry weather.
It is reported that the extension of western low pressure is located in West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal normal low pressure is located over South Bay of Bengal.
Meanwhile, the relative humidity of the air in Dhaka at 6:00pm on April 19 was 31 percent. On April 19, the country's lowest temperature was at Nikli, 21.2 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature was at Chuadanga, 41.5 degrees Celsius. Sylhet received the highest rainfall of 13 mm in the country.
