Host Bangladesh face Palestine today
Bangladesh looking forward to restore some lost pride as they face strong Palestine in their second leg of FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers scheduled to be held today (Tuesday) at Bashundhara Kings Arena.
The match kicks off at 3.30pm.
Bangladesh is facing uphill task to keep their qualifying home alive following their 0-5 lose to Palestine in the earlier meeting in Kuwait. Bangladesh are in the bottom with a solitary point and yet to notch any win a game losing Australia and drown to Lebanon.
Addressing a pre-match press conference held on Monday at Bashundhara Kings arena, Bangladesh national football team skipper Jamal Bhuyan said they want to forget the disappointing result of the first match and only focusing on the second match.
“Yes as the coach mentioned about the disappointing result of the first match ….. we are looking forward for the second match…… we have discussed ourselves about the first match
and we have to forget what happened in the last match … tomorrow (Tuesday) is the big day and we are now only focusing the second match against Palestine.”
The Bangladesh skipper said they don’t want to lose the second match in front of fans and supporters rather they are upbeat to play good brand of football as he said the match is
very important for them.
