Housewife killed in clash between 2 parties in Khagrachari

A housewife has been killed in firing by two parties at Panchhari upazila in Khagrachari.

The incident took place in remote North Dudukchhara area in Panchhari on Monday (March 3) morning.

According to local and police sources, firing has been reported between two regional hill organisations, UPDF (Prasit) and JSS (Santu Larma), in remote North Dudukchhara area since Monday morning. Although no one was injured on either side, a housewife named Rupsi Chakma, wife of Hemanta Chakma of Hatimara village, has been reported to have been killed.

Panchhari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Jasim Uddin said, "We have learned that a housewife named Rupsi Chakma was killed in the firing between two regional organisations in the hills. However, we could not go there because the area was inaccessible."
