I have come to play a quick T20 innings: Bulbul
Aminul Islam Bulbul has become the new president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). He was appointed to this position through a vote by the BCB directors in the board meeting on Friday.
At a press conference after becoming BCB president, Bulbul said he wants to play a quick T20 innings — an innings that everyone will remember.
The former national team captain Bulbul has mainly taken responsibility until the next BCB election. He wants to ensure a fair election and then step down. The election is scheduled to take place next October. When asked what development he plans to bring to Bangladesh cricket in such a short time, he said, “Test matches last five days, One Day Internationals last seven hours. I want to play a quick T20 innings.”
However, the newly elected president Bulbul also mentioned that he did not take the BCB presidency for a fixed three-month period: “I am the elected president of BCB. I did not come here with any specific timeframe.”
