I want a piece of my father's body: MP Anar's daughter

I want a piece of flesh from my father's body. I want to touch that piece of flesh and bury it as my father’s body.

Mumtarin Ferdoush Dorin, the daughter of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar who was recently killed in India said this while addressing a human chain formed at the main bus stand of Kaliganj city around 5:00pm on Friday (May 24) demanding fair trial and exemplary punishment for the brutal murder of MP Anar.

Jhenaidah-Jashore highway was closed for traffic for half an hour during the human chain.

Dorin said, “Prime Minister understands the pain of losing a father. She will understand my pain of losing my father. She tried his father's murder, and she will also try my father's murder. Only after the mastermind of the murder is caught will it be known why he committed such a big crime. It must be judged.”

She said, “I have spoken with the Prime Minister. I also spoke yesterday. We will take legal recourse. Prime Minister and Awami League top leaders will give us advice and they will surely arrange maximum punishment for killing their party MP. We want justice for the murder of the man who always stood by the people of Kaliganj in happiness and sorrow.”

Kaliganj Mayor Ashraful Alam Ashraf presided over the human chain which was attended, among others, by Newly-elected Upazila Parishad Chairman Shibli Nomani, Upazila Awami League Joint General Secretary Matiar Rahman Moti, Upazila Jubo League General Secretary Sohel Hossain and along with leaders and activists of all units of Awami League.

Besides, hundreds of people of the upazila participated in the human chain.
