Interim Government Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus stated that transforming one’s own village is the first step toward changing the world.

He shared this advice on Thursday (April 3) in Bangkok while attending the BIMSTEC Youth Generation Forum conference.

Encouraging young people to become entrepreneurs instead of chasing jobs, the Chief Advisor said, “To build a new civilization, young people must become entrepreneurs rather than running after jobs. If you want to change the world, start by changing your own village.”

Earlier in the morning at 9:00 am, the Chief Advisor, along with his delegation, left Dhaka on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight. He arrived at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 12:00 pm, where he was welcomed by Thai Minister Jiraporn Sindhuprai.

Dr. Yunus will attend the BIMSTEC Summit on Friday. During this visit, he will hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of BIMSTEC member states, including India. He will also be present at the signing ceremonies of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the summit.

Ending all speculation, the much-anticipated bilateral meeting between Bangladesh’s Interim Government Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is finally happening. The two leaders will hold a one-on-one discussion on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok on Friday (April 4) at 3:45 pm Bangkok time.

Additionally, on the third day of the summit, Bangladesh will officially assume the role of BIMSTEC Chair for the next two years. Meanwhile, a ministerial-level meeting among BIMSTEC member states will take place today.
