Imports, exports through Benapole port to be suspended for 5 days during Eid

Import and export business through Benapole Land Port will be suspended for five consecutive days, from June 14 to June 18, during the Eid holidays.

Sajedur Rahman, Benapole Customs and Staff ( C&F) Agents Association general secretary, confirmed the matter.

He said, "Perishable goods have been cleared on a priority basis before the vacation of Eid. But many cargo trucks may be stuck in this closure."

Rezaul Karim, director of Benapole Land Port, said, "The official holiday commences on June 14 and extends through June 18. Import-export activities are scheduled to resume on the morning of June 19."

"However, the movement of passengers with passports between the two countries will proceed as usual," said Azharul Islam, Benapole Checkpost Police Immigration Officer (OC).
