India supports Bangladesh on Rohingya issue: State Minister
State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Md Mohibur Rahman remarked that India has consistently stood by Bangladesh on the Rohingya issue and is expected to continue its support in the future.
He came up with this remark during a press conference at his office in the Secretariat on Wednesday (April 24) following a meeting with the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Pranay Kumar Verma.
The state minister said, "We discussed all issues between Bangladesh and India and expressed confidence in future collaboration between the two countries."
"The Rohingya repatriation process is advancing diplomatically. India is aware of Bangladesh's stance and remains supportive," he added.
The minister also noted that India shares a similar nature and geography as ours. They'll collaborate on future challenges, exchanging experiences. Both agree on the need to ensure safety and mitigate disasters for future generations.
