As tensions escalate between India and Pakistan following deadly missile strikes and counterattacks, US President Donald Trump has called the conflict 'so terrible' and urged both nations to end hostilities immediately.

India launched missile attacks on six locations inside Pakistan on Tuesday night in retaliation for the recent attack in Pahalgam. The strikes reportedly killed 31 people, including two children, and injured 57 others. In response, Pakistan shelled Indian-controlled Kashmir, killing 15 civilians and injuring 43, according to the Indian army.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, President Trump expressed concern over the deteriorating situation in South Asia. He said, "The situation between Pakistan and India is so terrible. I know both very well, and I want to see them work it out. I want to see them stop."

The President highlighted the back-and-forth nature of the attacks and expressed hope that both nations would de-escalate the situation. "I hope they can stop now," he said. "We have strong relationships with both countries, and I want the conflict to end. If there's any way I can assist, I'm ready to help and be involved."
