The UEFA Champions League semi-final between Inter Milan and Barcelona proved to be one of the most thrilling and intense matches in recent memory. Held late Tuesday night at San Siro, it delivered pure football excitement to fans around the world.

The match was an emotional rollercoaster. Inter Milan initially took the lead, but Barcelona fought back fiercely, rekindling hopes of a comeback victory. However, Inter kept their composure and edged out a dramatic 4–3 win. With the game tied 3–3 at the end of regular time, it was an extra-time goal that sealed the deal for Inter. The Italian side advanced to the final with a 7–6 aggregate score, following a 3–3 draw in the first leg as well.

The final is set for May 31 in Munich, where Inter Milan will take on either PSG or Arsenal.

The semi-final clash unfolded like a game of two halves. Inter dominated the first half, taking a 2–0 lead with goals from Lautaro Martínez in the 21st minute and Hakan Çalhanoğlu just before the break. But Barcelona came roaring back in the second half—Eric García and Dani Olmo found the net within 15 minutes to bring the score level. In the 88th minute, Raphinha gave Barça a 3–2 lead, seemingly putting them on the path to victory.

However, Inter refused to back down. Francesco Acerbi struck in stoppage time to make it 3–3 and push the game into extra time.

There, substitute Davide Frattesi emerged as the match-winner, scoring in the 99th minute to secure Inter’s place in the final and crush Barcelona’s hopes. Despite the efforts of young talents like Lamine Yamal, the Spanish side fell short once again in the semi-finals.

Speaking after the game, Frattesi said, “I’m happy I was able to finish the game. I was in pain, everything felt dark. I’m grateful to the physiotherapists—they helped me through a tough period. This victory is for them.”
