Japan to hire more skilled workers from Bangladesh
Shofiqur Rahman Choudhury, the State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, stated that some Japanese private companies have offered to recruit skilled workers from Bangladesh.
He said this after a meeting with a Japanese delegation of 11 representatives of various Japanese companies at the ministry on Sunday (June 9).
Shofiqur Rahman said, “Japanese companies have shown interest in hiring more skilled professionals, as well as technical and construction workers from Bangladesh. We have asked them to follow the proper application procedure.”
The minister stated that the Technical Training Centre (TTC) will be arranged for the Japanese delegation to provide them with the necessary technical training.
The delegation, headed by Masafumi Yurigumi from Yurigumi Maritime Company Limited of Japan, stated that they required a significant number of skilled workers.
