Jhenaidah-4 constituency lawmaker missing in India for 8 days
The family members of Anwarul Azim Annar, lawmaker from Jhenaidah-4 constituency, have not been able to find out his whereabouts since he went to India for treatment on May 11.
Mumtarin Ferdous Dorin, daughter of Anwarul Azim, went to the office of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Sunday (May 19) afternoon to report the incident.
Coming out of the DB office in the capital, she told the media, "I have come to inform the DB about the disappearance of my father."
In this regard, Anwarul Azim's personal assistant (PS) Abdur Rauf told the media that the matter has already been informed to the Prime Minister. Apart from this, the matter has been informed to various high-level departments of the government.
According to family sources, the MP is missing for about eight days since May 11.
