Journalist Tabibul Islam passes away

Tabibul Islam, former chief reporter of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), died of old-age complications at his Uttara Sector-5 residence in the city this evening. He was 88.

"Tabibul Islam breathed his last at 7:10pm today at his Uttara residence," senior journalist Aminul Islam Bedu told BSS.

He left behind his wife, two daughters, relatives and a host of well-wishers and admirers to mourn his death.

Journalist Tabibul Islam worked at the national news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) for long.

He was attached with Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's Press Wing from the national news agency.

He will be buried at Uttara Sector-14 graveyard at 11pm tonight following a namaz-e-janaza at Uttara Sector-5 mosque.
